The Uzbek women’s team Tashkent City Women’s PCT, made famous for creating controversy during this year’s Tour de France Femmes, has folded with immediate effect.

Tashkent were founded and backed by the Uzbekistan Cycling Federation with the purpose of qualifying riders for the Paris Olympic Games.

The team’s star rider, and their only finisher at the Tour de France Femmes, Yanina Kuskova, posted on her Instagram account on Thursday saying “our team existed for 3 years and it was a great time and now it’s over.”
