This is the Dan of Global Peloton copying the other Dan in giving some transfer updates, but with a global flavour of course. I’ve been digging for the latest information on the future homes of a number of cycling stars from around the world.
In many ways, as someone who hopes that cycling will one day become as diverse a sport as many others, transfer season is a time of year I dread. As team rosters fill up, it’s a period when sadly we see opportunity pass by for riders of great talent. Although it feels as though progress is being made in the diversity in our beautiful sport, this time of year reminds that in reality things are harder than ever for riders from Africa, Asia and elsewhere. However in the midst of that, chances are given to the lucky few to make a career as a professional cyclist.
