As team rosters fill up, it’s a period when sadly we see opportunity pass by for riders of great talent. Although it feels as though progress is being made in the diversity in our beautiful sport, this time of year reminds that in reality things are harder than ever for riders from Africa, Asia and elsewhere. However in the midst of that, chances are given to the lucky few to make a career as a professional cyclist.
