Merhawi Kudus remains a long way off from racing his bike again after crashing at the GP de Marseillaise on the 2nd of February.
The Eritrean signed for Burgos-Burpellet-BH this season after a year away from the professional ranks. He sustained several fractures after hitting the ground on a descent in the opening race of the French UCI calendar.
A team statement at the time said that Kudus had suffered “several fractures at the level of the costal arches, lumbar vertebrae and sacrum, as well as a pulmonary contusion with hemo-pneumothorax.”
