Welcome to Global Peloton!
It’s been six months since I launched this newsletter. I’m really grateful for all of you who have come along for the ride so far, whether that’s since day one or more recently. It’s been amazing to see interest in the newsletter grow and that’s because of you. Thank you.
I’m proud to be writing about areas of our beloved sport which don’t usually get much coverage and to highlight important issues. Some of my favourite posts so far have been Ashleigh Moolman Pasio’s plans for an African team, my interview with Adrien Niyonshuti and just keeping up to date every week with races outside of Europe. I’ve got big plans to do more.
Now we’re six months in, I’m curious to know what you want to see more of. Let me know by voting in the poll:
If you’ve got any other thoughts on the content of the newsletter, what you enjoy and don’t enjoy or topics you’d like me to cover, let me know. Be honest, I can take it :)
I’m also thinking about the future of this newsletter and how it dove-tails with my ‘normal’ job and cycling freelance work. I’m so grateful to those of you who already pay for a subscription, despite getting no extra benefit from it.
So, if I added an extra weekly post just for paid subscribers, would you pay for it for £4 per month?
I have no plans to put this in place just yet and I haven’t worked out exactly what it would look like. This is just gauging interest.
A reminder as well that Elon Musk has fallen out with Substack, meaning that any Substack links put on Twitter are pretty much useless. I’ll continue to use Substack because it has lots of other benefits and Twitter isn’t the main way people engage with this newsletter. It does mean that if you can share Global Peloton in any way, it would make a huge difference.
That’s enough from me for now. I’ll be back in a few days with a regular news round-up.
I’ll also be at the Tour of Britain next weekend and have a couple of interesting interviews lined up for Global Peloton.
Thanks again for being part of this.
Dan
I pay..it’s nominal..but to be honest, I’d rather pay a few modest subscriptions to s few individuals that resonate than upgrade and have to choose..you do good stuff…and I really enjoy your content for being clearly honest and open, not covering everything but generally giving my mind something to chew on..I hope you can keep it going ..(and I’ve never drunk the Elon musk koolaide) will try spreading the word
